Daniel Whitfield

Features Editor

Daniel Whitfield edits Inkego's longer, more ambitious pieces — the profiles and features that need room to breathe. He is the person who makes sure a 3,000-word story earns every one of those words.

A graduate of New York University, Daniel built his career writing narrative features for magazines before moving into editing. Based in New York, he has a particular love for stories about builders — the founders, engineers, and researchers whose work is easy to admire and hard to explain. His editing philosophy is simple: find the human being inside the expertise, and let them sound like themselves.

He writes for Inkego on the craft of telling an expert story without turning it into a press release.
